STEP 1 - PHONE CONSULTATION
The design build experience with Crawford Renovation begins with the first phone call you receive from our expert Project Consultant. During this first phone consultation, our Project Consultant will listen to your preliminary ideas, share information with you about our company and processes, and finally set up an appointment to meet you at your project site. |
STEP 2 - ON-SITE CONSULTATION
The on-site consultation begins with our Project Consultant meeting with you at your home or project site to discuss feasibility, design and budget. Our first priority is to listen to your needs and to gain a feel for how you want your home to function and look. We then create solutions that are functional, aesthetically pleasing and within your budget. |
STEP 3 - INVESTMENT RANGE
From the knowledge that we gathered during our on site consultation your Project Consultant will create an Investment Range that reflects the actual cost of your project based on the information you have provided paralleled with our building standards. Your Project Consultant may also provide an estimated time for completion of your project. Both the Investment Range and completion time are subject to change at this point. |
STEP 4 - DESIGN ENGAGEMENT
Once you have approved the Investment Range we will then engage into a Design Engagement. The cost of the Design Engagement is a 6% fee of the median investment range for the complete design services payable in two installments. 50% of the fee is required upon commencement of the design agreement and the remaining balance is due upon the completion of architectural blue prints, scope of work, final selections completed, production schedule and final contract pricing. |
STEP 5 - DESIGN AND SELECTIONS
Your Project Consultant will coordinate the designing of your new home with our residential CAD designer and the selection of all products to go in your home with our licensed Interior Design staff, Texas Registration # 10574. During this phase you will meet weekly, at your convenience, to refine and approve your construction documents, product selection and scope of work. Your Project Designer will work diligently in keeping your design, selections and scope within your Investment Range.

STEP 6 - FINAL DOCUMENTS
As soon as all revisions have been made to your design your construction documents will be engineer approved and permit ready. At this point a final scope of work will be created to verbalize what is pictured in your construction documents and list all final product selections. A project schedule will be created to show a start and guaranteed completion date along with a draw schedule to outline the payment schedule. Finally, a contract will be created to tie everything together. |
STEP 7 - CONSTRUCTION
Upon execution of the contract, all necessary city permits, Texas Residential Construction Commission enrollment will be secured. At this time your Project Designer will turn the project over to your Project Manager. |
STEP 8 - PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Your Project Manager is responsible for scheduling the trades and products necessary for project completion along with quality assurance. Weekly meetings through the completion of your project will occur with your Project Manager to discuss progress and answer any questions that may have arisen. Even though you only have one set time each week to meet with your Project Manager he or she is always available by phone or email. |
STEP 9 - POST CONSTRUCTION
Crawford Renovation provides a 2-year warranty on all work performed as well as a 10-year warranty on all structural work performed. At Crawford Renovation, we stand behind our quality workmanship on every project. We will follow up with a detailed client satisfaction survey so you can tell us about your experience. |
