Winter Events in Myrtle Beach
You may think of Myrtle Beach as strictly a summertime destination but there’s also plenty to do all winter long! And while things might look a little different this year, we’ve still got great theater shows, interesting educational opportunities and safe, family fun going on all season long. Here’s a sneak peek into what’s happening around Myrtle Beach this winter.
100 different individual pieces of art created by local, regional and international artists are showcased at the Myrtle Beach Art Museum through February 6. Each piece is up for auction and a live, virtual auction will be held Sunday, February 14.
This award-winning show is one of the top attractions in Myrtle Beach. Featuring All That, the cloggers made famous on America’s Got Talent and Rory John Zak from The Voice, The Carolina Opry is a non-stop singing and dancing extravaganza. The show will be held Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays through January; Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays in February and various dates throughout March.
Brookgreen Gardens will host a number of lectures and art exhibits throughout the winter months. Some of these special events include Reign of Rice, Black Southern Belles, Alligators of the Lowcountry, Terrarium Workshops and the Gullah Geechee Program Series.
The annual Conway Chocolate Walk will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, January 30 at the shops and restaurants in downtown Conway. Amateur chocolatiers will showcase their tasty creations at each stop. Due to social distancing guidelines, ticket purchasers will have to select a start time.
Each Tuesday this winter season you can board a trolley tour and take a trip down memory lane to learn about the history of Myrtle Beach and its role in movies, music and more. Each tour leaves from The Market Common and has limited seating to allow for social distancing. Tours are approximately two hours.
Relive a 1980s Journey concert during Resurrection - A Journey Tribute live at The Carolina Opry Theater in Myrtle Beach. This exciting event will be held one night only on Sunday, February 14 at 7 p.m. Tickets are on sale now!
The Carolina Opry proudly presents an exciting Tribute to Michael Jackson this winter! For one night only, hear your favorite songs by the renowned singer live on the big stage in the #1 ranked MJ tribute show in the world. The show will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday, February 28.
If you love the music of ABBA, you’ll love this special concert event at The Carolina Opry Theater in Myrtle Beach. For one-night only this tribute band will perform ABBA’s greatest hits. Tickets are on sale now for the show held Sunday, March 7.
