DeBordieu is one of the premier oceanfront communities near Myrtle Beach. It's a privategated community of 2700 acres, with a golf course designed by Pete and P.B. Dye. DeBordieu values its protected natural environs and its exclusive, low-key coastal hideaway. And the DeBordieu Club course has received countless awards, ranking among the top layouts in the state.

The Reserve at Litchfield

The Reserve is a 700 acre gated community with private access to the beach and river, walking/biking trails, a swim complex, and tennis. There is also the Reserve Harbor Marina, 27 miles from the ocean on a protected basin off the Waccamaw River.

The Reserve Golf Club at Litchfield is the only private non-equity golf club on the Strand. It advertises a no-benches, no-signage, no-rough, no-waiting policy. There are private club membership opportunities.

Wachesaw Plantation

The private community of Wachesaw Plantation is situated upon an historic plantation set over the Waccamaw River. It's one of the premier golf club communities on the East Coast, located just minutes south of Myrtle Beach near Litchfield Beach and Pawleys Island.

The Wachesaw Golf Club is presently one of only two private, member-owned golf clubs on the Grand Strand. It was the No. 1 course in Myrtle Beach when it opened in 1986, according to Golf Digest at the time.

Prestwick Country Club

The semi-private golf community at Prestwick is a premier gated community. It showcases more than 600 homesites including Wynfield, Highgrove and Manchester Place . Features include a plantation style Clubhouse with a restaurant and a pro shop, a Tennis and Swim Center and an 18 hole golf course designed by Pete and P.B. Dye. The course has Scottish berms, deep pot bunkers, lakes and rolling greens.

Wachesaw Plantation East

The gated golf course community of Wachesaw Plantation East is in the scenic fishing village of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina , 20 minutes south of the Myrtle Beach International Airport . Its Ellington is an Interval International Five Star Resort, with easy access to the beach, restaurants, shopping and entertainment.

The Wachesaw Plantation East Golf Club is a championship eighteen-hole facility. Like so many of the courses in the Myrtle Beach area, it's built on the site of a former rice plantation. Designed by Clyde Johnson, the course is carved out of gently rolling terrain, a heavily wooded course that can challenge golfers of all skill levels.

Prince Creek

The last master-planned community on the Waccamaw Neck is Prince Creek, the community surrounding the TPC of Myrtle Beach golf course. To get to Barefoot Resort & Golf from Myrtle Beach , travel north on Bus. 17 North. Completely pass Barefoot Landing, and turn left at the first light by the Barefoot Resort sign.

Blackmoor Golf Club

Marcliffe is a new, un-gated community situated on the Blackmoor, a Gary Player Signature Golf Course. Just off of U.S. 707 near Murrells Inlet, Marcliffe offers two- and three-bedroom golf villas.

The Dunes Golf and Beach Club

The Dunes Golf and Beach Club dates back to the 1940's, when a group of leading Myrtle Beach citizens consulted the famous golf course architect Robert Trent Jones. His style is evident in the long tees, well-defined fairway traps to give the player a target off the tee, and huge, elevated greens. The course is semi-private.

Pine Lakes International Country Club

The Pine Lakes International Country Club is the oldest golf course in Myrtle Beach. This is the semi-private golf course that saw the founding of Sports Illustrated Magazine, which had its birth in the clubhouse.
